In an AI-driven world, human skills are your competitive edge.

Technology is transforming the workplace faster than ever — but the abilities that drive real organizational success can't be automated. Leadership presence, emotional intelligence, conflict navigation, critical thinking, and the capacity to coach and inspire others: these are the skills that determine whether your people — and your organization — truly thrive.

The Gelinas Group offers a suite of programs designed to develop those skills at every level, from early career employees finding their footing to senior leaders navigating complex, high-stakes challenges.

Our Signature Programs

The Human Skills Lab: Group Coaching Intensives

Offered in-person or virtually, these 8-week group coaching programs are open to staff at any level.

You may choose to bring together a group of leaders, a team, or even an affinity group, such as women leaders. Typically focused on developing specific skills, topics include negotiating conflict, emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and coaching skills for leaders.

Relevant content is delivered in a reverse-classroom format, meaning participants will be introduced to key concepts before meeting times, allowing us to focus on practice, connection, and reflection when we meet as a group. Small groups of 6-10 participants enable them to truly engage with each other and the coach, enhancing skill development. The Future Leaders Academy: Early Career Development Program

This 8-week program immerses early-career employees in learning and group coaching to help them develop professional skills.

Organizations choose from a menu of educational modules covering a variety of professional topics, request custom-designed modules that align with your organizational needs, bring in higher-level staff as guests, or even include a mentoring component.

Participants develop skills and connect with others through the curriculum, group coaching, and opportunities to learn from one another. Why invest in early career talent? Many employers report that in the digital age, early-career talent needs extra support to develop the human skills they seek. This program helps your Gen Z staff develop those skills (and more), leading to stronger performance and productivity, and making them more likely to stay at your organization if they feel you are committed to their growth.

The Spark Sessions: Half-day Leadership Accelerators

Offered both In-person and virtually, these half-day programs are experiential workshops designed for busy leaders.

This training is ideal for supervisors and above, but it can also be delivered to teams to help people work together more effectively. Like the Human Skills Lab, Spark Sessions focus on skill development areas, such as conflict negotiation, emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and coaching skills for leaders.

Highly experiential, these programs include content, activities, and expert-led group facilitation. Spark Sessions work best with groups of 8 to 20 participants, allowing everyone involved to feel seen, challenged, and supported. Interested in focusing on another topic? Want to run a session to help faculty or K-12 teachers develop coaching skills? Let us know and we can do that for you.

What Sets Us Apart

Most human skills training is forgettable. Lunch and learn sessions, webinars, and asynchronous online learning programs rarely create lasting change. Gelinas Group is built differently. We combine deep expertise in experiential and adult learning (the kind that engages people, not just informs them) with a genuine commitment to lasting behavior change, delivering professional development that actually sticks

Experience & Expertise

The Gelinas Group was founded by Dr. Debra Gelinas, an educator and International Coaching Federation Associate Certified Coach with more than 20 years of experience in program design.

Real Behavior Change

Our programs and coaching partnerships are experiential in design, grounded in the science of how people develop new capabilities, and delivered in an environment where real growth is possible.

Objectivity

The Gelinas Group offers external, objective, and confidential services. When hiring Gelinas Group, you create the space for the kind of honesty and objectivity that real development requires.

Customized Approach

There is no one-size-fits-all approach. We work with organizations of different sizes, in different sectors, with different budgets and timelines. If we are not the right fit for your organization, we will refer you elsewhere.
